It is a serious task one takes to find a new Family Dentist, new doctor, new babysitter etc., when one transfers, or moves to a new town or community. But these are very important tasks and they should be approached with some caution.
First of all, one clue to the oldest firms would be those advertising in the yellow pages, or your local news papers. These are likely to be seasoned professionals who had their formal education long before the advent of the powerful internet and Mobil phone technology of today. The newer and younger professionals are likely to not have a yellow page ad at all or, if they have one, it will be an inexpensive one.
The reason for this is that in very recent years there has been a paradigm shift in the way we communicate and search for professional services and other goods and wares. Many households of today do not have a land line phone, and therefore, no phone book and therefore, no yellow pages.
Many people read the news online, and therefore the classified ads never reach the doorstep of millions of homes. What do the people of the current generation do to find a professional, they likely Google it! What is even more incredible is that they quite likely will do it away from home with their cell phone!
What I am driving at here, is twofold; this point being directed to those dentists and professionals who want to be found by that new family in the neighborhood, 1 you need to have a website, and 2, it needs to be optimized to be found by those searching for it from home and with their cell phones.
OK, create a list of potential Dentists in Bellingham that you gather from the yellow pages, and searches on the internet for those dentists located close to you. A great tool for this is Google maps. Select a few, and call for an interview appointment. Always do this, as first impressions are very important.
There is bound to be more on looking for a Bellingham WA Dentist.
